Gerald “Jerry” Reiter serves as President and CEO of Granite Bank, bringing more than 40 years of commercial and agricultural lending experience and more than 30 years of bank management experience to the organization.
With strong family roots in dairy farming, Jerry began his banking career with Farm Credit during the farm crisis of the 1980s. The experience helped shape his relationship-based approach to banking and his belief that financial institutions should work hard to understand the people and businesses they serve.
After more than 20 years managing a community bank in Central Minnesota, Jerry became CEO of The First National Bank of Cold Spring in 2010. In 2015, Jerry and a group of investors purchased the bank, which later became Granite Bank.
Under Jerry’s leadership, Granite Bank has grown significantly while remaining committed to the accessibility, personal relationships, and Family Feel of a community bank. He is passionate about building strong teams, empowering employees, and creating sustainable growth without losing sight of the customers and communities the bank serves.
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. He is also active in the community banking industry and currently serves as District 6 Director for BankIn Minnesota.
Outside of banking, Jerry enjoys hunting, fishing, baseball and softball, traveling, spending time with family, and staying involved in his community.
