Jacob has held numerous jobs in community banking during his career, starting in high school as a teller and moving into roles in commercial banking after college as a credit analyst, commercial lender, and Granite Bank’s Chief Credit Officer for 6 years. In 2022 he led the bank’s strategic commitment to grow its mortgage division and presently serves as EVP of the bank and CEO of its mortgage division. He continues to lead the bank’s drive to grow through an unconventional business model that combines the best attributes of local community banking with the broader platform of residential mortgage lending. In 2024 he was named one of ICBA’s 40 Under 40 for his leadership in community banking.
Jacob enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley and their three children, where they can be found on the lake throughout the summer or running to a sporting event. He is a former board member of the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce and is active in the bank’s trade associations.
